Napoli football team’s key striker, Victor Osimhen (25) won’t play in the 8th round of the UEFA Champions League 1st game. Other key players like monster Kim Min-Jae (27) feel a lot of pressure.
Napoli announced their team line-up on 12th of December for the AC Milan (Italy) vs UEFA Champions League 8th Round 1st game in San Siro in Milan, Italy, on 13th(Korea Time).
Big gap in their attack line-up was created as ‘bomber’ Osimhen was excluded from the list due to his war-related injury. He had done his best to recover from injury in last two games, but his condition has yet to improve. He ended up missing this important game. Nigerian-born Osimhen is one of the major players in the team and scored 21 goals and 4 assists in 23 league matches. His absence is a major blow to Napoli.
Not over yet. Napoli’s another striker Gioanvanni Simeone will miss the Champions League 8th Round 1st game due to muscular injury. His name was excluded from this list. He has played in 19 league matches and scored 3 goals mostly as a substitute.
Napoli’s option is limited due to these two players’ absence. The only one who can take over the attacking front is Lorenzo Insigne.
This season’s loss of power is extra sad for Napoli as AC Milan defeated them 0-4 on last 3rd.
Football Italy predicted that Lorenzo Insigne, Huibin Chabaratsheliya, Iruving Rosano or Rosano will form the starting line-up.
The only good thing is full back Matias Oliviera has recovered from his injury and his name was in the list. He will compete with another left back Mario Rui.
