Victory (33 · real name Lee Seung-hyun), formerly from the group Big Bang, and Yoo Hye-won (28), his celebrity girlfriend, had to close down their SNS (Social Network Service) comment section because of all the negative comments flooding in.
On the 24th, Yoo Hye-won wrote on Instagram “I apologize for the confusion because of the recent article. I’m sure there are people who are shocked and disappointed. But due to the guesses and high abusive comments without any basis, my mental state is becoming more and more miserable”.
She continued, “Thanks to all the people who support and encourage me, I have been able to get through this difficult time. I have collected all the comments made without any basis, and I will now proceed with the lawsuit. I kindly ask all of you to stop the abusive comments”.
She did not mention anything about her relationship with Victory. As the criticism continued even after she posted the article, Yoo Hye-won closed the comment section on the 25th.
Previously, on the 22nd, Yoo Hye-won was thrown into the spotlight after a Taiwanese media reported a picture of her and Victory outside a hotel in Bangkok, Thailand, taken from a tipster. The media reported that the two were seen holding hands like a couple and walking around the hotel lobby in a sweet manner.
This is the third time for Yoo Hye-won and Victory’s relationship to make headlines. In 2018, a picture of the two hugging outside a Dutch hotel was released through a Taiwanese media, and in March 2020, a woman seen sitting in the backseat of the car when Victory entered the military training camp was claimed to be Yoo Hye-won. Both sides only stated this as their “personal privacy”.
Victim was appointed as the key person in the Burning Sun scandal of Gangnam, Seoul, in February 2019 and finally was released on bail in January 2020 on charges of △ prostitution, △ prostitution introduction, △ penalty for sexual violence crimes, △ persistent gambling, △ violation of foreign exchange transactions, △ violation of food sanitation regulations, △ abuse of authority in business, △ aggravation punishment for certain economic crimes, △ special assault mentor, etc.
The Supreme Court confirmed the first trial sentence of one year and six months for Victory in May last year. After receiving the suspended sentence and being in the military prison as a Sergeant, Victory served the remaining 9 months in the Gyeonggi Yeoju prison and was released on the 9th of last month.
